Thymulin 10mg
Thymulin (Facteur Thymique Serique)
CAS: 63958-90-7
Thymulin is a zinc-dependent thymic nonapeptide that regulates T-cell differentiation and suppresses inflammatory cytokines. Studied for pain modulation, autoimmune regulation, and age-related immune decline. 99.0% HPLC purity.
Specifications
For laboratory research use only. Not for human consumption.
Mechanism of Action
Zinc-thymulin complex binds specific receptors on T-lymphocytes to promote CD4+/CD8+ differentiation and Treg function. Also suppresses TNF-a and IL-1b production via central (hypothalamic) and peripheral pathways.
Research FAQ
Why does thymulin require zinc?
Only the zinc-complexed form of thymulin is biologically active. Free thymulin has negligible receptor-binding affinity. The zinc atom mediates the conformational change required for T-cell receptor interaction.
